I have been working at Life Time Fitness

    Pros

My job is to change lives, positively. We have great resources to help people make those changes. Immensely rewarding. Great for someone single who wants to work a ton of hours and advance. Benefits are a little costly but OK. Great sales opportunities if you like to sell.

    Cons

It seems LT gets so caught up in revenue that the drive becomes more about the sales # than the potential life changing outcome. Lack of consistency and lack of great leadership is causing many to leave the company. Some get promoted too fast and egos take over. If you are married with kids, it is hard to have a work life balance and make a decent living. Your budgets are determined by past performance so you are ALWAYS expected to do more. Hero 1 month, villain another.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice to the CEO - Not all the AD's and Regional Leads are aligned. That filters down to the front line as a huge dysfunction. You are growing too fast and your NPS will show it over the next 9 to 18 months. Additionally there are so many transfers and promotions out to other regions that this becomes even more apparent. Take better care of your people. Learn how deliver clear expectations and coach accordingly. You give up on tenured team members way to fast. Clearly not the premier employer you once were.
