The plan 5 college part time is deceiving. Would NOT recommend

I have been working at Macy's part-time (less than an year)

Weekly pay. 20% Employee discounts. Basic cashier functions. Insite easy scheduling process. That's really all the pros for me.

They offer this plan 5 for teens and college students which gives you 8hrs a week. Scheduling you 2 times a week with 3-4hr shift.
However, the managers expects you to open a macys credit card every week even though you work dead hours 6pm to 9pm. Only 2 times a week.
One of the.manager told me I was on her bad list for not opening enough accounts and walked away.
She didn't ask if I was having any problems opening one or offered any tips.
I thought that was quite unprofessional.
New accounts is all they care about.
Plus low pay and co-workers are all old enough to be your mom or grandma.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't offer special part time like plan 5 if you expect high performance that cannot be met.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
