I have been working at Macy's part-time (less than an year)

Training was decent and gave me a good grasp of the basics. Online scheduling system is very easy and accommodating. Easy for other employees to pick up your shifts, and you get a number of unavailable work days to choose each month. Point based attendance was super convenient and generous. Management is friendly and accessible. 20% employee discount.

Pay is not the greatest, although it is slightly above minimum. Half the employees didn't seem to want to be there or care if the work was being done or not. It felt as though we were understaffed a lot, customers would consistently complain that they could not find an associate to help them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps more comprehensive training of the entire store during the first week.

    Neutral Outlook
