    I have been working at Marketo full-time (More than a year)


    Marketo is a fast-paced sales environment that will challenge you whether you're a veteran sales rep, or a new grad looking to get in to sales. Growth hasn't slowed since going public, which brings plenty of opportunity for advancement in to management or senior individual contributor roles. Being pushed to hit your number on a monthly cycle can be stressful at times, and isn't for everyone, but with a lot of support from marketing and SDR teams, it also brings a lot of chances for you to hit your monthly accelerators and make big commission checks. Also, as we get bigger, the on boarding and training have gotten much better, allowing new AE's to ramp up quickly and start closing business. -Very competitive pay and benefits packages -Good rapport among the sales teams -Advancement opportunities for top performers -Brand recognition, good name to have on your resume -Excellent sales support from marketing and SDR teams -Industry leader in a competitive marketplace


    Marketo gets a bad rap for being a demanding work environment, but in reality, you won't be asked to do anything here that you won't have to do at any other high growth company. If you're looking for a place you can work from home a couple days a week, or look for unlimited PTO as a must-have perk, it's probably not the right place for you. Very competitive vertical to sell in to, product team needs to stay on top of product updates to keep us as the premium vendor

    Advice to Management

    - Keep your foot on the gas pedal, and stay independent. - Put clearer paths in place for AE's to advance in to enterprise or international sales roles
