I worked at Morgan Stanley full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Most teams in Technology and Data have flexible working hours and Work From Home policies. There are options for horizontal transfers across business units.
A fresh graduate can aspire to become a Vice President within 5.5 years of joining the firm, at the earliest. The average is around 7 years.
Exposure to a wide range of technologies.

    Cons

The firm has a strong grad culture with around 50 engineering graduates being recruited every year. So lateral hires in technology can sometimes find it difficult to fit in. Their growth within the firm follows a slower pace compared to graduate hires.

Visibility is very important. Hard work without the senior management noticing it, often results in little or no increments or bonus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More one-one sessions with associates would ensure more opportunities for visibility and feedback.
