Former Employee - Field Representative in Salt Lake City, UT

I worked at Mueller Services as a contractor (more than a year)

    Set your own schedule
    Work from home office

Bait and switch: When hired you are promised one wage and they actually pay you something different. High turnover in management which means you have different opinions how the job is to be done
Insurance carriers constantly change their procedures and each company has different methods, too numerous to keep accurate on.
If you bring a problem to the attention of Mueller, understand they will hide, deceive and blame it on everyone else, except the company.
You are like the paperboy, if the customer complains, it has nothing to do about your work ethic, but everything to do about being low person on the totem pole.
    Report system is slow, inadequate
You will spend excessive time on travel at your own expense and minor reimbursement
You will spend even more time on report writing by having to use an outdated system that only changes by having to import more and more data. Average time to write a report is over 30 minutes.
The company has not increased salaries or per job pay despite an constant cost of living increase
You do not get paid if you take a vacation no matter how long you have worked for the company.
You pay for all of your printing, computer, internet, camera, pole cam etc... out of your own pocket.
Company gives you only 3 days to complete assignments this includes holidays
No upward movement in the company
Job is good for someone retired who wants to spend time doing a job, but not get paid much for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Send out surveys to find out what the company can do to improve the morale and working conditions. Listen to the field reps, not just what you are fed by a few supervisors that have your ear. Look at the ratings your employees are giving your company and understand you need to change how you conduct business

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
