    Pros

If you work for right group you will do reasonable challenging work. Will not last long though

    Cons

Be very diligent in checking out the manager you will work for. In Maryland ES there are managers that once you hire into that group will never let you leave. They will control your salary to extent you will never recover. If you try to leave the group they will put information into your JPAS / Background investigation files that will have all employers, contract COTARs etc call them. So once you work for a bad manager and leave you will not be able to work for about 12 years. The managers at Northrop will play games. You will alway have two tasks and they will change priorities back and forth to get more and more work from you. None of which will make you look good on evaluations. Again, there are great groups. Stay away from the ES sector in MD. You will never work again if you leave. It is a cute game to them. There is a book called "A Just Cause" that describes all the crap they will do to you.

Again , there are good groups but most of the groups in MD / ES are terrible. They will slander you if you leave the company. People in mid career should never hire into Northrop. You will not get any promotions, raises, etc. You will ruin any skills you have because you will not use anything cutting edge at Northrop ES sector in MD. Stay away from any managers that used to work in Sikesville MD. They are a band of people that work together to hurt people. There is the Associational of Old Crows (AOC) that will control your salary in any company you go to after leaving Northrop... I know people that for ten years were unable to wrork. They will call your employers when your clearance / access to projects comes through and you are put onto JPAS system. BE VERY AFRAID ! If you see various games played by a manager where they will not respond in writing, games on tasks, deliverables. you will find you will not be able to transfer to another group. If you leave you will be ruined.

    Advice to Management

Lie detect all workers in management, program management. Fire all of the people that cannot honestly pass simple questions about screwing with other employers. Then again I think it is the corporate culture to screw people.
