    Pros

Flexible schedule, lots of training. New this month: bonuses for excellent course reviews at end of class. You can train for multiple tests. Pay rate depends on test, and on demand in local market. A surprise for most educators: training, prep time, and admin (talking to parents, sorting out test scores etc.) is paid! Rates vary by task. Opportunities to pick up more hours on one-time basis always pop up in larger markets - proctoring a free practice test as part of marketing, doing campus marketing events etc. All of the full-timers I've met began as PT instructors, so advancement is a reality for those interested.

    Cons

Not always predictable how much you'll earn each month. Demand varies with testing cycles.
