Great company, but disorganised with career development.

I worked at Procter & Gamble as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great brands, very relaxed but professional environment. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The promote from within philosophy does appear to exist, but colleagues still complained about the lack of promotion opportunity; there seems to be so many at the bottom of the hierarchy that there is little room for advancement.

    Cons

I didn't really seem to have any direction given to me about where my career could be after my internship, which for me was very important. I was also working on a project which I felt was out of the control of an intern with no experience of the company. Whilst this was great responsibility, I felt out of my depth and often short of support.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give interns a clear plan of their time at P&G, so they know which direction they are going in.
