    Pros

Culture & team environment - I could not say enough about the people I work with, from associates up to partners. People are highly motivated and take ownership in the team project. Coaches are interesting in mentoring the staff. Hard work and innovative thinking are appreciated and rewarded. Growth opportunities - Every day I learn something new. There is great variety in engagement work, even in Audit. There are opportunities to transfer to basically any major US city and to do international tours, though I have never done so personally. Flexibility - I feel the freedom to meet personal commitments and to work remotely as needed (less so during busy season). Benefits - Healthcare, vacation, life and disability - all are good benefits. Parental benefits are good too (maternity and paternity leave, adoption assistance, etc.).

    Cons

Professional services - The client comes first, which means work can sometimes be unpredictable. You do your best to keep the client happy, even though the client often does not reciprocate. Worklife balance - This just comes with the territory in spite of every flexibility initiative there could ever be. The busy season is long and grinding, and it's not usually very slow outside of busy season either (in my experience).

    Advice to Management

Management is doing a fine job improving the work experience - keep it up. The difficulty of busy season is always going to be there, and continuing to find ways to make the rest of the job positive in spite of that drawback will be important. Continue to give insight and ownership to staff. Project efficiency initiatives are also being well-received and hopefully will help.
