Former Employee - Staff Test Engineer  in  Aliso Viejo, CA
Former Employee - Staff Test Engineer in Aliso Viejo, CA

I worked at QLogic full-time for more than a year

    Pros

In general, most of the technical staff were professional about the work. HR had good staff that took care of employees.

    Cons

Work environment extremely high pressure. Not enough work resources to cover work load for scheduled releases. Managers agree to ridiculous time tables to complete projects when given the opportunity to take advantage of suggested schedules of completion. In other words, many of the managers promised the moon, but could not deliver which caused a moral problem and a ill felt environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is advice for upper management, not test leads or group managers. This is advice for people that are just under directorship. Don't hire manages or test leads that do not know how to lead and/or is not familiar with the technology. Anyone can pick up buzz words, but can they do the work that is assigned to the subornments?
