I worked at Rite Aid full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible hours. 20 % employee discount. There's a fast track to managment for those who are reliable workers.

    Cons

The 20% employee discount cannot be used in conjunction with other sales. In essence employees get the same discount as loyal customers who participate in their loyalty program.
Understaffed thus expecting a lot for little. RA says they are concerned about the employees safety but they are happy to see staff work overnight hours in their stores without complete security guard coverage.
Because there is a fast track to managment any one who shows for their shifts and on time (reliable) can be come a manger even if they have no innate leadership/people skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate office: Stop expecting so much for so little. Hire competent employees and pay them well. Managment you can afford to keep employees safe through-out an over night shift and you can afford to increase the employee discount. Spread the wealth!
