I worked at SAIC full-time (more than 5 years)

There is plenty of training and career development courses made available. From what I could tell, most employees are compensated well regardless of the performance you put in.

There was not a whole lot of cross-functional collaboration. Hard to get into a different field from project control, and there was not a lot of ways to take on rotational assignments. Very do-it-yourself environment. Extremely political. There are also way too many reorganizations to keep up with. I was in Project Control for 5 years. During that time, I had 5 different managers due to re-organization, or my manager was terminated due to down sizing of the reorganization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open up your eyes a little bit more to the junior level and mid-level employees. These people work hard, and some believe they can step into a larger role to help support and grow the company. So don't forget to gather feedback from them and listen.
