I have been working at SHI International full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You can learn IT sales and possibly move into another role if you can survive for a year. There's a lot of free lunches and the work facilities are nice. There's also a lot of emphasis on rewarding the top performers and giving them credit for their success. They're fast growing and still have a lot of room to grow.

    Cons

It's like working in a giant fraternity house. For some, that may be awesome, but it doesn't give you a good foundation for what work will be like outside of SHI in a more professional environment. Its really noisy on the floor when you're trying to make calls that sometimes customers can hear the yelling and music which is pretty unprofessional and disruptive when you're trying to put your best foot forward with a customer. If you say something about the noise you will be bullied by the people that like to make the noise. If you have an MBA or any other formal business training, run for the hills unless you can't find another job. Your talents will likely be wasted your first year making cold calls and working LONG hours doing mindless prospecting and sending blanket emails in hopes of making more than $35,000 per year. They're growing fast, but the supporting resources aren't growing at the same rate causing a lot of frustration for inexperienced sales reps. When resources fail, so does the rep and in turn SHI.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a better external website that employees can use a more competitive tool. Allow people to move roles before the year mark if they're qualified to fill another role. Hire from the outside for roles that require more experience. Treat your managers better (this is a big reason people don't want to move up the chain). Be more firm with bully behavior in the office as it happens everyday.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
