    I worked at STERIS full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    No one over your shoulder. Freedom to set your schedule and take care of the customers.

    Cons

    Skills required to perform job are not compensated appropriately. Often can be a dangerous job. Little room for advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    STERIS seemed to rest on their laurels. At one time they were the premier sterilization company, but with little advancements the competitors caught up. The competitors were able to offer good instruments at a much lower cost than STERIS. Reward the employees who you value. 2-3% annual increase does not show this.
