I worked at Serco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Some of the most interesting process/clients. Great exposure to good quality customer service. One of the finest processes to work for. Not a walk in the park but is very much enjoyable and satisfying work environment. Furniture and fixtures in fairly good condition.

    Cons

Entire Mumbai operation was run by amateurs who called themselves 'professional'. Unbelievable and most absurd behaviours and resons presented for something that the company/HR promised and was not delivered. Transport is a nightmare. Canteen is a joke. HR/Recruitment team ... don't bother talking about them. They do not have culture/class/professionalism. They literally 'threaten' to take police actions, legal steps and so on for some minor technical hiccup. HR SPOC is/was never available. Young kids, who apparently were on good terms with their peers were promoted to TL positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is great potential in the company. However if you have chosen some monkeys to run the show, be prepared to have trashed out camp in no time. Wake up and adopt a strategy where you are not bound by the limitations of the box. For once get rid of the box and 'think'. Else if you are like most others, look for your next job, and move on. Let Serco and all the good people working there die.
