I have been working at SolarCity

    Pros

Great company to work for. Great culture & employees. Great support from managers. Good compensation & commissions. They encourage growth within the company in any role & at any level.

    Cons

The role of 'Field Energy Specialist' requires that you work almost EVERY weekend. Schedules can change daily. Must be able to stand & walk for 8+ hours every day. Working out of different Home Depots, so no regularity to where or when you will be at any given location. Expected to work 7 Days a Week to keep on top of customer visits with Sales Reps (Field Energy Consultants).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more structured, regular schedules & Home Depot locations for FES's to go to each week. The constant changing of schedules & which stores to be at caused a lot of unnecessary stress to myself & coworkers.
