I have been working at Staples full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good stores do well and get good attention from higher ups.
    Management pay is decent.
If you have good local managers, the job is great

    Cons

The company needs to focus its strategy on its core business, and stop nailing jello to the wall with new initiatives.
    Constant management restructuring.
    Unstable industry

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on long term, profitable areas of the business -- Copy and Print, EasyTech Services, etc. Get out of mobile and the newest "thing" to come along. Motivate employees and build the business by investing in people. Costco pays higher, gets lower turnover, and has higher sales.. Learn from that.
