benefits package is good, vacation time. Good place to spend a year or two to learn the ropes of a specific area before leaving for a company that will actually pay you in something more than peanuts.

Low-to-no bonuses, extremely low salary structure, makes it very difficult to stay or retain talent. Lack of compensation causes massive turnover. Constant re-shuffling of org structure, makes jobs even more cookie-cutter and unmarketable. Lots of outsourcing and cheapening of business strategy. Lots of downsizing for mid-to-high level management makes it difficult to expect good managers or retain good managers. Under-paid associate level employees make for a poor atmosphere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote from within, if bonuses and salary must be that poor, at least compensate in other work-life or social ways.
