Current Employee - Systems Integration Engineer  in  Jackson, MI
Current Employee - Systems Integration Engineer in Jackson, MI

I have been working at Tenneco full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Reasonable salaries for entry level engineers. Flexible with comp time when traveling over the weekends.

    Cons

Typically given VERY little advanced notice for international travel. (2 days -14 days advance notice). Upper management does not listen to sound engineering advice provided by the experts they hired. Direct managers are expected to manage 5-15 employees and also manage customers that their employees are responsible for. This leads to VERY POOR managing of the employees. It is a shame.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to make proper engineering decisions and stop shooting from the hip due to tight customer timing. Your advanced technologies have no future with your current choices.
