I am grateful for all the training and education the USAF has given me, but disappointed with the leadership

I have been working at US Air Force as a contractor (more than 5 years)

Technical training is transferable as college credits if you decide to seek a degree, health care benefits, steady pay check, and the opportunity be out in a leadership position at an early start depending on how well you are at your job.

Depending on where you are stationed, leadership and supervisors tend to "drop the ball" a lot. The Air Force strives on setting high standards for both enlisted and officer, but hardly ever hold their members to these standards. Its honestly been getting worse as the years pass by which is why I'm getting out. Basic Training is now a joke. I'm insulted when I see new recruits come into the Air Force as if they were forced to sign their enlistment documents. The lack of respect for higher up and for the uniform astonishes me. There's no more self-discipline.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Basic training needs to be more vigorous, both mentally and physically. We are allowing too many "bad apples" into their Air Force.
