I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 3 years)

They do like to promote from within, albeit at a lower pay scale than what they pay outside people to come in for but since turnover is abundant (see below) there are opportunities to be promoted.

This is place that only cares about sales numbers. Nobody cares how you make your sales goals as long as you make them. I've worked in aggressive sales environments and this place takes the cake. They push ethics but promote the opposite, at the end of the day you have to do what you have to do to hit your numbers otherwise you will be pressured and treated poorly by your manager until you quit or they can find a way to get rid of you. Google the lawsuits against the company by employees and believe that hype, this place is horrendous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practice what you preach. Stop churning widgets that result in the company losing money and aggravating customers, your branches in the DC area all have quotes painted on the walls about courtesy and customer service but the reality is your retail branches, managers, and DM's only want you to sell everything under the sun so they can make a bonus regardless of whether it's in the best interest of the customer.
