I worked at Wells Fargo (More than 10 years)

    Pros

When department was growing, advancement opportunities and salary growth were exceptional - constantly attempting to achieve better technological for all areas - minimal cost for banking services if any

    Cons

Once department slowed down, no promotions and salary increases reduced to annual 1% (effective cuts when considering COLA) - management was ill-trained, ineffective and far too busy protecting their own position - leadership is exceptionally reactive instead of being progressive and industry leader - conservative to a fault - diversity is not a focus despite corporate claims

    Advice to Management

develop leaders who can actually lead instead of micromanage - utilize your staff to their most effectiveness - typical corporate political games are always in effect and drive away many skilled individuals as their voice only matters when they agree.
