    Pros

Hopefully the board will see the changes they made are making the talent run for the door and stop the bleeding.

    Cons

It has become a micromanaged environment with little concern for employees and that is what caused my disappointment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop putting people in management positions that are more concerned with themselves than the good of the company.

    I worked at 8x8 full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to talk to great customers and teach them about 8x8's phone systems.

    Cons

    Good-Old-Boys network...Young men in management...there way only.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more women and people of color. Have more women of color in upper management. Be real with all people not just "good-old-boys". Thank you

    I worked at 8x8

    Pros

No-cap comissions allow for great earning potential.

    Cons

Micro, Micro, Micro. Little flexibility. Write-ups are frequent and common practice. Negative reinforcement is huge. Stress levels are extremely high amongst peers. Management focuses on pure cash incentives to win-over employees, job enrichment is not a focus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The negativity on the sales floor is being caused by management, not by the sales people. Time to wake up.

    I worked at 8x8 full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay was good for a small company

    Cons

Company continually loss making since inception
The company was very small and had very few resources for what was needed.
The management were convinced they were the next google ! and clearly they were not.
The service was un-reliable and had lots of missing features. The mobility features were totally unreliable for businesses.
Not many customers or big household names
Customers Tied in to Multi year contracts or they would have left if they could
Sold as a cost saving service but seemed to always cost customers more !!! Never clear if any savings were ever achieved
No long term plan or future, just sell up to some mug (8x8 inc)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Desk phone systems are becoming redundant in all but the largest businesses, this is not a growth industry. Do some innovation and find some growth in another market.

Most businesses are going mobile only now ! As smartphones exist there is really no point or future in this technology.

If you are going to have a desk phone system go for the traditional sited - reliable alternative over rock solid ISDN lines.

    Pros

They throw a good party, they lavish gifts on sales, and they feed us on a regular basis.

    Cons

If you are older, not a member of the ruling clique, or not a young female, there is no opportunity for advancement. And now Customer support will be run by the bean counters. Our customers will hate us more than they do now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
