The company is always looking to expand.
Cons – Intern pay is relatively low when compared to other internships.

Current Employee – been working at AAR
Pros – Hired with no on the job experience. Willing to train a good student fresh out of school. Good training program.
Cons – Starting pay is not as much as I would have liked to start at. It seems that only second and third shifts are available.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep doing what the company is doing with molding new mechanics and take care of them once they progress into proficient mechanics.

Pros – Very collegial working environment. Company has seen strong growth in the last few years and the workforce seems to be energized to maintain that pace.
Cons – Flat management structure. At the lower levels there is opportunity for relatively rapid advancement. At the senior levels, it's almost a matter of waiting for someone to retire or die.
Advice to Senior Management – Try to create more mobility for senior managment to prevent stagnation.

Cons – Salary low compared to other fields
Advice to Senior Management – Get to know your employees better. Some managers don't even know all their direct report's names.
