I have been working at ABB Group

    Pros

    Steady salary
    Bonus Plan
    Independant work environment

    Cons

Isolation - left on own - poor company support structure
Favoritism, field personnel left out of the loop for advancement within ABB

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus of people development to increase revenue streams
Honor your employees - Pay accordingly to role comparisons not internal comparisons
Abide by your commitments - lower level BU managers are only interested in Cost Reductions and not increasing revenue streams

    Pros

You get free coffee and free fruits that company provides everyday. You can drink as much coffee as you can and as many times as you want. Lots of leisure time to think and do new things. You are your own boss and no body will bother you.

    Cons

The system is flexible and difference between flexibility and arbitrariness is very think. I find it just arbitrary and not flexible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace Swedish managers by German managers.
