I worked at ABB Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Most people are great to work with
    Industry leader

    Cons

Due to outsourcing manufacturing to low cost countries, COPQ is eroding the bottom line and customer confidence.
Everything is about cost savings and the bottom line. Job cuts are frequent even when the company as a whole is doing well.
Work loads can be especially heavy and due to the job cuts, those left behind are burdened with even more work.
They talk of work/life balance but depending on your position, this can be difficult to achieve and management doesn't care

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the outsourcing of your manufacturing to low cost countries. Consider the COPQ and it's effect on the bottom line and customer satisfaction. Quit just talking about work/life balance and actually do something about it.

I worked at ABB Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Leading edge products, very good co-workers, cool company

    Cons

Very poor management team and individual managers. Crushing amounts of administrative work lack of support or concern. There is a deaf ear to most requests for anything.
Vindictive managers that can and will seek retribution against those to stand up and speak out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should take a look at and ask why is there so much turnover and turmoil in your NA HRC and TA team. Here is a hint don't ask the people who manage it ask the people who have to make it happen.
