    Pros

Compensation, relocation and medical are average or above but can vary on drastically. When the company is doing poorly, you will notice changes and sometimes be warned ahead of time to layoffs.

    Cons

Poor vision in senior management. Driven by a quick fix rule of thumb mentality that causes frequent resurfacing of quality and design issues. Horrific documentation and standard procedures that fall behind 1940’s standards. Most situations involve quality of material and design from poor communication. Although the issues are simple it is often an over clogged funnel of marbles that chokes out the bunch so not even one can be successful.

    Advice to Management

Cut of the infected leg, even if it’s your own. This company has let product design and quality control fall behind by over 50 years and continues to transfer product back and forth between locations to salvage. Take the time and money to design new better components and begin cutting out those that don’t do their job because they don’t want to change. So many good employees are being overworked doing the jobs of other employees that drop the ball. Then those same over worked employees are having the support ripped out from under them when trying to do a job well done instead of a quick fix that would re-surface.
This is not a sinking ship you can save. It’s under water and rotten to the core. Sink it and build another with pieces if you want.

    Pros

Work life balance is great. Pay is decent.

    Cons

Upper management disconnected with employees. HR and IT departments are broken.

    Advice to Management

Provide more retention benefits. Many great employees are leaving to competitors.

    Pros

There are plenty of good, talented people to work with. The products are new, green, and interesting.

    Cons

Promises are made, that are never meant to keep. They have no problem letting large groups of employess go when the orders slow down. Both on the assembly floor and in the office. Highest turnover rate of any company I've worked for. Not a lot of guidance given when asked. Not a very good balance of life and work. Unless you enjoy working too much and not spending time with your family. Mandatory OT on short notice. Driven by an unreasonable schedule, not accuracy.

    Advice to Management

There's not much to say. When you have the priorities of ship it first, build it second, design and documentation comes last. Hard to be a success that way except on paper. Also difficult when Engineering designs it one way, manufacturing another, and the assembly floor one more.

    Pros

great company and benefits. heading in the right direction

    Cons

micromanaging, too many managers. direction gets lost in translation. There was no work life balance only for management.

    Advice to Management

STOP micromanaging and trust your employees! Guarantee you will yield better results. Get on one accord stop delivering conflicting information. Hence the turnover

    Pros

It's a large company with room for movement. Feedback from employees on the business side is much better than on the internal shared services side.

    Cons

Leadership is lacking and no one is held accountable for their actions inactions. Upper management makes big promises to get you on board then never deliver.

    Advice to Management

Pay attenion. There are people that do no work and are just conduits.

    Pros

Good pay for the area, but with all the overtime, for a salary person, it pretty closely equates to "would you liked o supersize that for an extra $.99?"

    Cons

Minimal training, lots of overtime for hourly and salary alike, including Saturday's.

    Pros

    Good people, but need training.

    Cons

Comments are specific to the Houston office: Lack of work processes and quality system prevent personnel from successfully performing their jobs. Little to no oversight exists and management fails to acknowledge or own the problems. For example, when a former director tried to establish a PMO to resolve problems with a large international project, he was let go from his position.
Employee turnover is high, especially within the PM ranks - mostly driven by dissatisfaction with upper management's failure to act.
