  1. I've enjoyed my time working for them, but I've heard from others that it isn't normal.

    Pros

Fly across america, they pay for food and lodging and it's far better than working retail or at a PC repair shop. It's one of the higher paid jobs I've held. The handlers are friendly.

If you have a way to store your stuff without rent, and don't mind living outside a suitcase, this is an awesome job, where you can save a lot of money.

    Cons

Pay rate changes contract to contract. Overtime has to be pre-approved, which means you usually lose about 2 hours of your life a week uncompensated.

They give you your location / tickets / hotel arrangements less than 48 hours, before you take off. It happens regularly, it's their standard practice.

Honestly there is nothing too terrible to say about them. They are a IT subcontracting firm, if you want a job and have the certs they'll give you employment and it's not a bad situation.

    Advice to Management

If there are breaks between contracts, it's important to give the Techs a bit of heads up, so they can plan out their finances better. Of course I realize this can't be helped all the time, you don't always know when a contract is going to activate so some surprises are to be expected.

    Pros

Good company to work for. I had an excellent assignment that lasted three years until the type of contract changed negotiations.

    Cons

As with most companies of this type, the benefits were limited and the health insurance offered was expensive.

    Advice to Management

I encourage management to continue offering their best support to employees as I was offered when needed.

    Pros

Flexible, weekly pay, very friendly staff, easy to work with, organized

    Cons

job security - positions are short-term or temporary contracts, benefits package is not that great, no paid vacation, better to consider them as a transition company (unless you find a temp to perm contract)
