I worked at ABC Imaging full-time

    Pros

Hardly any, and they depend on the department and who you know in the company.

    Cons

Make sure you read the previous reviews as they are telling you everything bad to expect in this company, i ignored the warnings going in, and i was shocked to find out they were not exaggerations.
What i can tell you for sure is that the salaries and benefits are the worst on the job market, but again some employees are given better salaries than others depending on who you know when coming on board.
Your treatment will depend on how close you are to the decision makers, there is no such thing as "equal treatment for all", you will never be appreciated for your contribution, you will be spied on by one of your coworkers whose job is to report to upper management who is doing what, and you will be judged according to what the spy says about you. In the hiring process they will promiss you salary raises, once hired you are constantly threatened with loosing your job just so you don't even think of asking for raise. In other words, salary raises are not an option unless if you are close to upper management and are comfortable leaking their boots on a daily basis. Except for a selected group of managers who hire and fire at will, nobody is happy working for this company. everyone is stressed out all the time because they know they can be fired the coming Friday, or the next Friday, or the next one, Fridays are the most stressful days for ABC Imaging employees. I you are looking for peace of mind, competitive salary and benefits, fairness, appreciation for hard work, grow and advancement opportunities, then this place will just be a waste of time for you. But if you just need a stepping stone until you can land the next big opportunity then you don't have much to loose beside your temper.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you don't wake up and change the way you treat your employees, soon you will only find desperate people to hire, and even they will only stay temporarily because the situation is unbearable.
You are allowing this place to be driven to the ground, you just don't see it yet.

I have been working at ABC Imaging

    Pros

the work is pretty straight forward when supplies are available.

    Cons

    Conflicts of interest in hiring
    Extreme micro magnagement
Most orders are "rush" orders. too many priveledged customers. no consideration for walk-ins.
Late hours if work comes in last minute.
No regard for family, and or personal responsibilities.
Technologically challenged company as a whole.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the micro managing and adequately train employees. Be straight forward, learn to confront employees in a professional manner. Improve technological aspect of the company. (POS, ONLINE SUPPORT, COMPUTERS, MACHINES)

The turnover rate is high so you inadvertently get responsibility of a wide variety of tasks and have the opportunity for promotion

    Cons

Top management needs to stay focused on the big picture and trust/delegate responsibilities to middle management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire good people and trust them to do their job

    Pros

They are the best at what they do, great people overall

    Cons

Spotting problems and fixing them is always a good thing, but creating problems, blaming staff and chastising them is the law of the land at ABC. Revolving door of management. Owner has a Napoleon complex.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go out of your way to create a different environment that rewards hard work, promotes longevity with the company and provides strong benefits.

    Pros

Very few pros to this job, but I did feel needed, made friends, and was able to advance in my career. That is where the pros end.

    Cons

poor pay, lots of overtime for with no overtime pay, horrible work-life balance, lots of yelling by the CEO and other managers, unprofessional, hire unqualified people to fill jobs, micromanaging is rampant

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire qualified employees, pay them fairly, and treat them well.

I have been working at ABC Imaging

    Pros

None... most people in my posistion don't try to excel cause the pay wouldn't be worth the work. They work on the "don't rock the boat" philosophy.

    Cons

No raise (not even cost of living ) in the two + years I've been here, and currently there I'm paying for insurance that the HR department says I have but the insurance companies say they never heard of the company let alone myself.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You want you worker to sell more, pitch more and go above and beyond their job? Well then you need to give them some incentive to do so.

I have been working at ABC Imaging

    Pros

The people in my shop (with one exception) were some of the best I've ever had the honor of working with.

    Pay was decent, nothing spectacular.

Did manage to do some personal projects on the side without getting into too much trouble

    Cons

    ugh, where to begin.

Out health care was nothing to brag about the first year i worked there. They changed it the next year so the cheapest (all i could afford) had a $3000 deductible. I managed to find my own insurance provider, and was then told that I could not cancel my ABC insurance, even after I was told directly by HR that I could "cancel any time." Jumped through some hoops, got the necessary paperwork, and was told my insurance was cancelled. Only it wasn't. Me like a dummy never noticed them taking it out of my paycheck (why I hate direct deposit-as convenient as it is, with me sometimes out of sight = out of mind) So I managed to pay for TWO insurance packages for a year, and never used them. Mainly because even when I WAS sick, we were too understaffed for me to take time off and see a doctor. To add insult, I received a letter stating that I owed ABC about $300 for insurance costs after I finally got them to cancel the policy that I told them to cancel a year before.

My manager quit because he was tired of getting phone calls from corporate at home on weekends, and because we had this one employee who was just toxic, and for some reason corporate refused to fire her.

Funny thing was, I managed to get one write up the whole time I worked there and was "laid off" for it. This toxic employee (with multiple write-ups and complaints against him) was promoted to assistant manager after I was gone. Then when I tried to collect unemployment, I was told that I had been fired instead of laid off, and was unable to collect UC. After the unemployment hearing, the guy that fired me offered to go with me to Subway and "put a good word in for me." Would have preferred a slap in the mouth.
