    great product; saves lives; intelligent people

    Cons

    work life balance; CEO surrounds himself with "YES" people. Not really interested in honest and open feedback from rank and file

    don't overlook the value of the non-commercial employees

    Pros

    Great to see that your work helps in saving lives.
    Not too much politics.
    Friendly people.
    You learn a lot.
    Talented people.

    Cons

    Priorities change too often.
    Main reason for people leaving is they get burnt out from too much work.
    Management is a little disconnected.
    Insurance premium keeps going up.
    Annual salary increase is 2% of you meet expectation (hard to keep up with inflation).

    Advice to Management

    Hire more engineers.
    Connect with employees.
    Stop treating every project like an emergency.

    Pros

    Knowing what you do saves lives. Good work for good pay. Most of the management team is understanding and reasonable to work with. Not a lot of politics.

    Cons

    In some departments, the work load is heavier than others and people are required to work 60-70 hours per week every week. Some of the executive team are micro-managers and haven't learned to trust their teams.

    Advice to Management

    Provide what you want done and guidelines and then let your teams execute.

    Pros

    The company and the work we do really makes a difference in the world and peoples' lives
    Employees get frequent opportunities to hear the stories of the lives that our devices have saved
    They appreciate and recognize those who work hard
    The CEO goes out of his way to know the hard working employees personally
    The company pushes people to do their best
    We have some fun at work

    Cons

    You don't get the "red-carpet treatment" (perks, incentives, trips, all expense paid annual meetings) unless you are part of the Sales Team
    Benefits are not competitive enough (very high deductible)

    Advice to Management

    There need to be more incentives and perks for those who work at the headquarters. At times, it feels as though we're slighted and not appreciated as much as the sales people.
