    Pros

    Minimum 40 hrs, healthy perks bonus, if u are handy you can teach yourself

    Cons

    Horrible management, poor training, lousy customer service. Treat customers like they don't matter. God help you if you work as a tech or agent, they will destroy your pride and make you gravel for a .25 cent raise

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Put all managers back thru ADI, lose the superiority complex, fire bad agents and managers, rethink the corporate agenda before you go bankrupt

    Pros

    Make your own schedule.
    Some truly amazing people work there.
    If you're on the right team, the team work is awesome

    Cons

    If you work in residential sales, although it's a commission only job, they make you work 6 days a week.
    Very little training
    High turnover
    They let you know you are replaceable
    Comision only, and they take back your pay if the customer cancels in the first 6 months
    Shady managers
    Constantly changing the way you can make your number and get paid
    If you're on the wrong team, people will steal from one another
    Company is the biggest sales hurdle

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop changing the pay scales.
    Fix the customer service so the reps won't loose money
    Teach how to prospect

    Pros

    Few and far between. Supplied with cheap tools. Given a work van but don't dare try to make a personal stop

    Cons

    Sub par pay, micromanagement, a culture of everything being the employees fault, policy changes daily without warning

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat your employees as the adults they are instead of like children that need reprimanding. Pay at least the market rate for the work being done rather than below even mom and pop shops

    Pros

    1: 401k match is the biggest pro
    2: brand name

    Cons

    1: pay 100% commission with very few company leads anymore ( hope you like door to door )
    2: vacation pay = no such thing lol
    3. Micro managed to death
    4: unpaid mandatory meetings
    5: constant pressure to hit quotas
    6: The primary focus is self generated sales

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Realize the value of employees with knowledge & experience. Realize it's more important to be customer obsessed than obsessed with making a profit. Value the sales people with knowledge of product and customer relation skills instead of unit pushers giving away free systems with no knowledge of product just to make quick $. The focus of this position is numbers not customers.

    I worked at ADT Security Services full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Provide insurance, but prices kept getting higher, year after year. PTO is given, but if you haven't been there for years it was hard to use it.

    Cons

    Management treats employees as a number, they have the philosophy that you are replaceable. Managers have no compassion personal situations. Managers generally don't communicate things from upper management in a timely manner. They would enforce things when the general workforce had no idea that something had changed. One of the managers in the monitoring center in Irving, I wouldn't say was racist, but the were very partial to there race. Management would call meetings to say you're doing this wrong and you're doing that wrong. That was true for all except a few of managements favorites. It was on a rare occasion that anyone was told, Hey good job. Just no appreciation showed to employees. I mean overall it paid the bills, it was just a company that cares nothing for the employees. It was just a dreaded drive to work on a daily basis wondering, OK, what am I going to get in trouble for today that I know nothing about. In my opinion it is not a career company, unless you are a favorite and get into management.

    Communicate things with employees before enforcing them. Have more compassion for your hard working employees. Show appreciation for employees, and create a culture that promotes customer service.

    Pros

    Great benefits and pay ... generally great colleagues, very nice offices and physical environment. Learned a tremendous amount about the business, my position was challenging with a lot of interaction with many departments (from customer service to finance to marketing to IT).

    Cons

    Where do I start ... Abusive environment created and maintained by the upper management and tolerated at lower levels. Very unprofessional in their handling of employee issues of all kinds. Expected to be available 24/7 for day jobs. Rumors and/or inferences were not investigated but rather believed and acted on by management. I saw 4 good employees fired because of false comments made by others. Very stressful and inconsistent atmosphere. When situations were taken to HR, they would go to the manager in question warning them of the 'complaint.' This set people up for a worse situation than before.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Whatever is recommended will be ignored because of the level of egoism and unethical behavior. Again, this behavior starts at the top.

    Pros

    Great Brand in the industry

    Cons

    Poor customer service, poor management, 100% commission that is getting worse, used to need 3 self generated leads per month now 6 going to 8. Company doesn't respect its sales people. Product is moving in the wrong direction. Inside folks compete with outside folks who are competing with distributors. Snake like culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay your people. If they deliver SGLs give them more leads NOT LESS. Stop playing games with who gets company leads.

    Pros

    They offer a pretty decent sales training for those who get into business sales. Freedom to set your schedule for the most part.

    Cons

    Pay is awful. The upper management is clueless. Managers are brought on and let go so quickly there is no chance for success.

    You should update your resume and get out as soon as you can before the rug is pulled out from beneath you.

    benefits, view of lake and mountains out the window

    Cons

    Extreme micromanagement, unrealistic productivity numbers, responsible for 30 processes now instead of two or three...so now we are jack of all trades and master of none. Low pay. Company pushes customer obsession but they only care about the stock price, they dont care about customers or employees...hope they really take seriously the recent employee engagement survey....if not they will continue losing more of their best people.
