I have been working at AIG

    Pros

Growing business, strong senior executive vision

    Cons

Too much reliance on historical business and technology practices
    Slow to change
Limited growth opportunites for internal candidates

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need some fresh perspective on how to get things done. There are LOTS of qualifed internal candidates but the selection process does not seem to be focused on qualifications. There is a need to be much more nible in getting things done.

    Pros

Most successful corporate turnaround in history of business, and the opportunity to truly shape the future if aig and insurance

    Cons

Too much to do. But, come on NYers, who isn't up for that challenge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train managers to manage and lead their people. Make that a core competency.
