I have been working at AKQA full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I recently started here and right away felt like I was being looked after - if I ever need anything there's always someone to offer advice and help me out. Opportunities for people to grow are abundant - AKQA nurtures from within so once you're here, you can do anything really. Amazing people, clients, great work, exciting projects and the chance to try out some of the latest technology the whole world wants to play with. We are spoilt with social events and benefits along with beautiful environments to work in - I'm sure the novelty will wear off but right now I'm super happy!

    Cons

To the outsider it can seem a little cliquey at first, but once you get to know people (and make the effort to do so), you'll understand them and why they are the way they are - usually because sticking together for projects helps people do a better, more collaborative job.
As with all companies in this industry the hours can vary, but when you're working for the best, don't expect an easy ride. I don't have any real issue with this - just a watch out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep encouraging younger members of the team - we love spending time with you, learning from you.

I have been working at AKQA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Impressed with the high caliber of co-workers that are massively inspiring across all levels. Passionate and honest team with strong client relationships. Lots of potential to gain experience overseas with the company and client projects.

    Cons

While clearly many opportunities for career growth, as evidenced by a large number of people who have been with the company for several years, it would appear that these people need to create their own path rather than have it formally structured for them.

    Pros

You're in a team with clever people, working on big clients, working on game-changing work that makes a difference to everyone people (not just the digital industry).

This is my first job where I have a good work/life balance – we're encouraged to use our full lunch break unlike places I've worked for previously. We have a new fitness studio at our London office with classes throughout the day which is a great way to achieve mind space.

    Cons

It would be great if we had corporate discount for local businesses near the office

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at AKQA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Opportunities - I joined AKQA shortly after working at smaller agencies and was intimidated at first but have found the culture to have the strongest team ethos from any of the companies I've worked at before. The team is amazing and all projects I've worked on have an international aspect so I get to travel!! As projects are at cutting edge I am learning from experts in their field.

    Cons

Obsessively high standards to craft the best is hard work at times but worth it for the end product.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is overall professional and caring, especially about team spirit. Keep it that way by continuing to bring in the best!

I have been working at AKQA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The first place I have worked that combines wisdom, heart and interesting assignments to make a business that makes for a fulfilling work life. Each day is energizing and exciting, working with people who are respected for their knowledge and insights. "Values First" approach is motivating and clarifies what the company priorities are.

    Cons

The fast-paced, client-focused environment requires adaptability and responsiveness all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would love a way to be able to work in offices in other countries for a few weeks (or even a few days!) to absorb the culture and meet new colleagues.

I have been working at AKQA full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

You will work with some of the best talent in the industry. It's inspiring to work alongside these people. I've been in meetings and the level of expertise and thinking is exceptional.
If you want to travel to work in other offices you can. I've had the chance to travel the world with AKQA.
Variety; one day you'll be brainstorming the future for a top automotive client. The next day you might be figuring out how a new technology is relevant for retail.
Very very client focused, you work closely with them nearly everyday.
Good culture, lots of cool people, work hard and play hard.
I've learnt more at AKQA than anywhere else in my whole career.

    Cons

Any journey worth taking is never easy. If you want a job where you sit back and watch the day go by then AKQA isn't for you.
If you want to get stuck in, be part of the team and contribute then it is the place for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do more company wide events for staff
