I worked at ANSYS as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

I worked as a coop for almost 8 months. The atmosphere of the place was amazing, the majority of the people I met were amazing and knew what they were doing. I got more out of those 8 months than I ever thought I would.

    Cons

From what I have gathered the company doesn't really seem to know where it is going. A lot of things keep getting restructured, and they're are definitely people that I have met or talked to that didn't know what they were doing, or didn't seem to do much.

    Pros

Good and helpful colleagues. A lot of engagement with customers which improve communication skills. You need to study all the time and be productive.

    Cons

A lot of overtime which you won't get paid but you will learn out of it. Be prepared for missions and be away from home. You need to study all the time.

I have been working at ANSYS full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Products and vision are a driving force in the market and ANSYS is a leader here.

    Cons

Ability to be agile, strategy concepts, leadership lacking for large company. Marketing and IT staff are the worst groups in the company. ANSYS needs a better understanding on how to manage large accounts and how to compensate those that manage them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to force multiply your sales staff with your sales reps. You will get more with honey than with vinegar!
