Looking for the best for less.

    Catering (Current Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsHard working employees that really care about the jobs they have obtained.

ConsThose who seem not to care about their positions are left alone, with no consequences while those who care are left to pick up their slack. Supervisors allow substandard performance to go on as long as there is no backlash from their superiors.

Advice to Senior ManagementAdhere to the standards you've set, for your customers as well as employees.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Good for the time being, would never stay with this company.

    Retail Sales Associate (Current Employee)

Pros1.It's really good if you're a student looking to work part-time because they work with your schedule.
    2. The work is really easy to do and it doesn't take long to catch on.

Cons1. Cutting corners. It's so hard to get work done, when it feels like management doesn't want to provide us with things we really need like soap, paper towels etc....
    2. The food is really not good. How do you operate a dining hall and serve food raw/burnt?

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease care more about your customers.

It was a really easy job while in college

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ConsMy boss was the most racist, sexist human being I have ever met in my entire life.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't be racist.

Stuck if manager wont make changes

Assistant Food and Beverage Director (Current Employee)
    Kansas City, KS

Prosbig company, lots of opportunity if you are in a city where aramark is thirving.

ConsHard to get promoted if your in a city with not many locations, unless you want to move. The specific account location is managed poorly and you get no face time with upper management to show you have what it takes but its others (above you) holding you back.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork to improve, instead of being content with mediocre at best

    Aramark Healthcare

    Chef Manager (Former Employee)
    Staten Island, NY

ProsGreat opportunity, Great co-workers, Great Benefits, Good Schedule, Good Teamwork

ConsUnorganized, No Structure, Poor Upper Management, Poor Leadership, Robot Managers

Advice to Senior ManagementReward your hard workers, not your slackers. Focus on fixing the problem instead of creating makeshift corrections. The problem with Aramark is it needs to be "out with the old and in with the new.." but the old employees are institutionalized and when they are scared they get rid of all their talent; in fear of losing their jobs.. They focus on listening to leaders who milk the system for over 30-40 years instead of listening to the new generation of bright minds who can help the company grow. That is why they will never pass Compass.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Sustainability Intern with Aramark

    Sustainability Intern (Former Employee)
    Auburn Hills, MI

ProsThe internship program had many opportunities to develop and maintain individual assignments. Training was conducted at the headquarters prior to the internship and did a fairly nice job of educating interns on possible projects.

ConsThe particular account I was assigned to was somewhat unwilling to sacrifice the status quo to achieve sustainable goals. Directors said my main focus as the sustainability intern was to "sustain profits".

Advice to Senior ManagementNeeds to coordinate more with clients.
