I worked at ARAMARK full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Convenient location on campus. That's it. And free food, which was allowed by management, yet hurting food costs.

    Cons

Management was corrupt, unhygienic, unintelligent, and frequently served alcohol to minors. Any missteps brought to attention of upper management was quickly smoothed over with zero repercussions.

I worked at ARAMARK full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Peers and client were typically wonderful. Opportunities to make money are huge.

    Cons

Upper management misleads managers concerning available labor, equipment and support. Employees on all levels quit or were fired often. I was the 3rd catering manager in less than a year. I am one of many that received empty promises.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you would provide quality equipment and adequate labor, any manager with 5 years experience could run a unit successfully.

Why wouldn't you? An ethical manager will leave without that support.

    Pros

The work colleagues that I met were very nic.

    Cons

Terrible management. Wrong choice in the new CEO. Too many people, including my position, have been laid off. Many positions have been moved to Nashville, TN.

    Pros

Great place to work to get some experience.

    Cons

Horrible leadership at the local level. To save money leadership will expect employee to wear to hats and will not compensate you for it..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate leadership needs to hire the right leadership team at the local level and hire people with real experience.

I have been working at ARAMARK full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good benefits (for now) and decent wages (for now). At least it is a job. The company has multiple locations throughout the world.

    Cons

    1.Lack of managerial support
    2.Long hours
    3. Policies always changing
    4. Rules apply to only certain individuals
    5. The job teaches individuals to lie, cheat, and steal whenever possible,
    6. Ethics of an individual must be left at the door
    7. Nothing that you accomplish here will ever be good enough
    8. Managers always looking at employees for what we did wrong, it is always our fault. We are always wrong.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at lower level management. They will be the cause of the destruction and demise of the company. They need to learn how to manage and speak to employees and customers. They also need to be held accountable for their actions or the lack of.

I worked at ARAMARK part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The pay was okay. They offer a free meal for lunch. Everyone was offered a set schedule that did not change from week to week.

    Cons

The management had a very high turn over rate. They were very rude and disrespectful to the employees. They do not offer many full time positions. The year that I was employed I did not see any one move up or any opportunities to do so. I saw more people leaving then growth. The management would very often favor certain employees. They were always getting special benefits and never were made to work. When other employees complained about the work conditions then were laughed off. When the favorite employee complain jobs were threaten. Not a place to work if you need a secure job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your employees
