    Pros

Stable job, lots of vacation, plenty of perks, benefits great, and employee discount at 50% off of everything are phenomenal.

    Cons

You'll find this in every review: too many things to focus on and the future outlook looks like its even more metrics with the addition of connected car and DTV merger.

Every single year our paychecks get smaller and smaller.

    Advice to Management

Fight to be more competitive with pay especially with rising minimum wage and cost of goods and services.

Managers More Concerned With Promotion Than Helping Employees Advance/Grow

    Pros

salary and commission are great. Benefits are good although they were better a few contracts ago. Great training program to set you up for success.

    Cons

    no upward movement.
    high stress job.
supervisors are lazy and inept (for the most part)
Call flow is archaic and obsolete, but if you don't follow it you will be targeted.

    Advice to Management

instead of s=elling everything to everyone, why not try to discover one or two products that might "actually" benefit your customers. The Telecom game is maximizing the slimmest of margins so if the rep keeps AHT low and sales are still there you will achieve the same results with the added benefit of a reduced sales force and improved customer satisfaction.

    Pros

    Stable, good benefits, brand recognition

    Cons

Unless you live in Dallas or Atlanta, not much upward mobility. Not a sales company. More service management

    Advice to Management

Listen more to employees. Need to be more innovative and react to the market faster.

    Pros

You learn all aspects of sales and if you take what you learn and do well by providing a great customer experience, you are able to make tons of money. It can be fun if you stay positive!

    Cons

If you first enter the company as a retail sales consultant, the hours fluctuate tremendously and the job itself can be demanding. You will find yourself dealing with all types of people. Be mentally prepared.

    Advice to Management

The wait time needs to be better managed.

    Pros

Company phone given out anytime a new phone is released.
    Awesome monthly bonuses.
    Out of town training opportunities.
Uniforms, no figuring out what to wear to work.
Really great employee discounts on accessories.
Monthly allotment to purchase accessories to help with up-sales.
A lot of money to be made if you are hitting your weekly and monthly goals.

    Cons

Not great if you have children due to hours that vary along with evenings and weekends.
    Holiday work is required.
Often the company sets unrealistic sales goals for services that may not be popular or even available in your service area i.e. wired services, att uverse.
Because each customer is expected to evaluate the experience they had with you, things like long wait times, already angry customers, poor signals, drooped calls, or other events that didn't originate in your store all effect your rating from the customer, even if they score your service high and hate att service. Those scores have adverse affects on your bonuses.

    Advice to Management

My managers were great. They were supportive and helpful in aiding all employees in meeting their goals. No complaints.

    Pros

Everyday is challenging and you get to meet all kinds of people. You work with technology and the company is constantly keeping up with it. It leads and rolls with change. We coach for success and focus on positive reinforcement.

    Cons

There are old employees that have a bad attitude and are hard to get rid of. Union protects the lazy from getting fired and the great from getting bonuses.

  9. The hiring process is lengthy. I applied online and 3 weeks later had a phone interview. The phone interview was quick

    Pros

The base pay plus commission is a great opportunity for anyone without a bachelors degree. Friendly upbeat work environment. Great place to work if you like meeting new people daily.

    Cons

The work schedule... Expect to be working every holiday besides Christmas day. And expect to be working every weekend or at least until you get some seniority.

    Advice to Management

It doesn't tale much to be manager here. Don't expect much from management.
