I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent pay, a lot of hours, meeting new people, room for growth in the company. New equipment every other year

    Cons

Management sucks, think they own everybody, will fire you if you don't go out of town, doesn't care if your kids are Mentally ill, or if you're single father if they want you out of town you will go or you're fired

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Needs to reevaluate all of management, firing people who are good employees because they're unable to travel is not a good reason

I have been working at AT&T part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great co-workers and competitive atmosphere within the store. Compensation is generally good, especially compared to other jobs available to a part-time employee. Hours are decent, again compared to the typical 'college job.'

    Cons

Management generally will view you simply as a cog in a machine. The company has no qualms about scheduling you for more hours than you have agreed to work, but will punish you if you need to work less. Schedules can be changed at the discretion of the store manager, sometimes with little/no notice at all. Company will schedule you to work on a 'day off' to rearrange the store, but not adjust hours on other shifts to account for this.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work to view your employees as people. Understand that all of us have lives outside of work, and those are important to us as well. It does not make me a bad employee because I have focuses other than work. It makes me a human.

Work to develop your people and help them move up in the company. Many of my co-workers have career aspirations with AT&T, but management gives them ZERO guidance on how to move up. I understand that not everybody is cut out to be a manager, but the company should provide them with a plan to help get them where they need to be.
