    Pros

    The amount of knowledge and guidance they give you is phenomenal. The training for this program is AWESOME!!! They give you multiple opportunities to speak to the senior management of the company. I have seen a lot of personal growth within myself and I am grateful for that.

    Cons

    They are never fully clear on their expectations and oft hold double standards. Favoritism is a major problem in this program. If you are not constantly kissing up to management they will try and find a reason to get rid of you. Leadership needs to practice what they preach when it comes to the leadership models they teach.

    Diversity inclusion needs to be reviewed in this program.

    pay is fantastic, and benefits are great too, plenty of room to move around too.

    Cons

    micromanaged like crazy, very high expectations and goals, kind of like selling a used car anymore.

    consider backing off on the pushy sales tactics and coaching they are very discouraging.

    Pros

    Great pay potential, safety minded, advancement opportunities, many great people in leadership.

    Cons

    Forever re-inventing performance management for field techs. Techs and managers too worried about making their numbers. Focus should always be 1. safety, 2. quality, 3. quantity. A few people in leadership not willing to do their job with integrity - only looking out for themselves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    You have many managers and staff with specific areas of responsibility but have cut back on front line workers, asking them to cover many tasks, requiring a varied skill set. You end up reducing their ability to become experts in their field.

    There are literally no pros in my opinion.

    There is constant pressure and scrutiny ALL OF THE TIME in such a high pressure sales environment.

    Help encourage your employees to sell rather than make them feel incompetent when the economy sucks and no one wants to buy a new phone!!

    Pros

    Company respects employees and their commitment to families and communities. Typical Fortune 500 benefits including vacation, 401k match, etc. although healthcare is less expensive. Long term bonus plan provides a great incentive award. Easy to move laterally or downward.

    Cons

    Product and overall company strategy is unclear and changes often. Compensation is not tied to performance. Raises are designed to keep people below the midpoint of their salary band. Above the midpoint raises do not keep up with inflation. Culture is overly accepting of failure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve the Hi Po program to generate advancement opportunities. Realign compensation management as a reward tool to drive performance. Hire outside experts to augment internal knowledge rather than relying exclusively on network expertise to try and drive leadership in areas like cloud, big data, social media and collaboration.

    Pros

    Many great products and concepts, but very little execution on excellence from the top down.

    Cons

    Poor leadership! When it comes to promotions, they make the same mistakes over and over again. They base their decisions completely off performance in regards to quotas, which is understandable considering it is a sales organization, but they consistently promote "shady" sales people to management roles and never learn from their mistakes. I have encountered some of most ignorant managers while employed with AT&T.

    Inspect the integrity of your high performers, they are tainting your name and your products.

    Pros

    Near recession proof (everyone needs/wants a wireless phone or device). AT&T is a bargained employer and if you are non-management you should join the union. Great overall team environment despite management who's been around for a while and are out of touch with reality other than the numbers and the proverbial scrupulous expectations that role downhill from upper management. Finally able to wear a more relaxed attire. You don't have to purchase shirts or sweaters - an allotment is provided.

    Cons

    Working with micromanaging bosses who have no clue about leadership (that is to say - being out front). Theft is on the rise in retail (be careful your location). Fraudsters have increased as it makes it very very hard to make a decent commission check anymore considering the amount of time spent with the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get a badge scanning system for clocking into your retail stores - WATCH WHAT HAPPENS WITH ATTENDANCE!

    Great job with a ton of resources in terms of support and training

    Cons

    Has lost focus on employees as assets and not leveraging the resources and applications available for colloboration across the world. Requiring all marketing employees to move to Dallas or Atlanta.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    We will lose valuable employee assets with this recent decision and forces AT&T to not the hire the very best and brightest from all corners of the world. As a shareholder, the expense AT&T will incur in terms of lost productivity, moving expenses, purchasing of employees homes, hiring new employees without the skill sets, and severance will never off set any "colloboration". I do my best work when I have peace and quiet and I am a exceeds expectations performer at AT&T.
