Minneapolis, MN

Current Employee – been working at AT&T Wireless full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGreat Pay
Good Benefits as a Rep
Can move anywhere in the country with this job

ConsPoor Company Structure- I was told with my degree and aptitude I would be in a corp position within 2 years. 3 years later still stuck in retail.

My reps make more than me as a manager

Work Life balance is horrible even though they say its their #1 priority. For instance I am supposed to get one weekend off a month. I have never received that.

If you get stuck underneath a bad manager- good luck

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate a better environment for movement in the company. I always wondered why no one applied to AT&T after college. Well now i know, its great money but no room to move into a CAREER!

Philadelphia, PA

Current Employee – been working at AT&T Wireless full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGood base pay, casual attire on weekends, company paid sales bonus trips, additional monthly sales incentives/rewards

ConsLong hours on your feet, ever-changing and declining commission structure, little room for advancement, management expects too much out of every sales interaction, subpar benefits package.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your frontline employees for ideas on how to improve retail experience, offer more enticing incentive programs that will provide consistent performers a more consistent pay.

Atlanta, GA

Former Employee – worked at AT&T Wireless full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThe pay was very competitive, it would be hard to find an entry level position offering such a good starting pay.

ConsNo work/life balance. Too many people making varying decisions about the direction the store

Detroit, MI

Current Employee – been working at AT&T Wireless full-time

ProsA great company to work for if you have great management in place working for you. The benefits are good. You learn about a lot of different and new technology. Constant training to keep you abreast of current technology. They company talks a good gameplan.

ConsManagement promotes a negative culture with constant changes in commission structures. It seems as if they formulate ways for their employees to do more for less. The most incompetent people are I'm positions of authority. A monkey can sit back a send out emails complaining about goals and metrics. How about putting people on place that can actually lead someone. If you are not apart of the inner circle you are destined to fail. Some people want to actually do their work get paid and enjoy life without all the extra BS

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a look a those directly below you and see how effective they are in their roles. Go out and listen to the employees and make sure they can voice concerns and comments without worrying about retaliation from upper management.

Austin, TX

Current Employee – been working at AT&T Wireless full-time for less than a year

ProsNice benefits not too difficult when you get the hang of it. However if you cant keep your a head afloat before your out of training your chances of success are slim to none.

ConsCorporate. Dont do this dont do that, must meet this must meet that. Promote employees to snitch on each other. Company discounts are ok on mobile bills but are horrible on home services. DO not qualify for benefits until 6 months in.

Advice to Senior ManagementCould advance quickly if your a selling fool, other than that no one will really notice you. Can be promoted to rep assist after 6 months with moderate sales. Making goals though.
