I have been working at Aaron's

    Pros

Co-Workers are great. You are provided with a good working environment and very good benefits. You will receive one of week vacation after 6 months of employment and sick days after three months.

    Cons

You start out with relatively low pay. Promotions do not come with a raise until you reach GM. You will work long hours leaving you very little time to have an actual family life. Rarely will get a weekend off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Giving raises with promotions, give more weekends off for your employees.

I have been working at Aaron's

    Pros

Good products and good co workers. Availability to help people that are credit challenged or are looking for the ability to lease products.

    Cons

Very low base salary, even if you have lots of experience. Some managers have to work 6 day work weeks because other compensation levels for support associates is even lower. This makes it hard to attract good talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at compensation levels if you want to attract and retain great talent.

    Cons

Salary is low for what I do, but without a degree, that's on me.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give more responsibility to those who ask for it and thrive with it.

I have been working at Aaron's full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

I enjoy working with my co-workers most of the time.

    Cons

Literally you will spend more time here than with your family.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop changing policies so fast, and give associates actual constructed criticism, rather than look inside your self to help our customers pay and to get your sales.

  8. Good for a stepping stone on one's own career path. Company still tries to do things as if it's a mom and pop shop.

I have been working at Aaron's full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits. Good experience (of what not to do) Very hard to grow or move up with their new internal hiring process.

    Cons

Over worked and drastically under paid. They demand a lot in job descriptions for quality candidates but don't offer equal compensation for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit micro-managing your staff. Encourage associates to go after promotions instead of treating them all like outside applicants.

I have been working at Aaron's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You will always have Sundays off.

    Cons

Your upward mobility is based on that of your manager. If they move ahead you move ahead, if they don't you don't.

  10. I have been working at Aaron's

    Pros

Thursday morning training sessions were used for team building, identifying deficiencies and discussing advancement opportunities within the company.

    Cons

Although most days seem to pass by quickly they are still long. It was hard to plan activities on your off day because there was a good chance you would be called in to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When management calls a team member in to work on their day off that worker should not be restricted to a 40 hour work week but should be allowed overtime compensation based on their sacrifice.

  11. This place can be great and successful if management treat their employees with respect and appreciation .

I have been working at Aaron's

    Pros

No respect. Low pay. hard to make sales goals. High expectations with no gratitude.

    Cons

    Low pay. Disrespect
    Hours are bad
Management continues to threaten you about goals and employment
Hard to get a promotion or raise Unless you are Preferred.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your workers the right way and the turnover rate will not be so high. I went through about 30 people incl managers in one year. I have been training people, never got a raise or a promotion even with all my hard work, and sacrifices.
