    Assistant Manager

    Assistant Store Manager (Current Employee)
    Birmingham, AL

ProsThe people can be really great to work with.

ConsIf your store manager or district manager slack, you feel the stress and pressure. It's hard to motivate teenagers to work. It takes a long time to get a raise. Typical woes of retail: mall hours, holidays are stressful, customers can be difficult, lots of theft.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't be unapproachable and/or lazy. Be more helpful if people want to move up or transfer.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    honesty is not a priority

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Prosgreat training for managers in training

Consmisleading management styles; visits from regionals are staged so they don't see true opportunities.

    Fun at first

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsYoung co-workers. They make you feel important. The in-store managers are usually nice. This is a decent first job.

Conslow pay. male managers engage in flirting with female employees (who are usually still in high school) the company is extremely superficial. you have to fit a certain "look". if you don't buy their clothes for work then they don't put you on the schedule. for a 6 hour shift you only get a 30 minute break.

Good for a first job as teenager

    Impact Team Member (Current Employee)
    Roseville, CA

ProsThe pro, at least when I was working there, were the co-workers. They made it awesome to be there. Being a Impact member, you don't have to deal with customers at all. You are in the stock room putting clothes into the shelves.

ConsThey will give you less and less hours the longer you stay. If you are not on good terms with the manager then you'll be lucky to get one or two shifts a weeks. Also, the employee discount sucks.

entertaining but not a good job if you want money, but it's okay for a teenager with no experience and some free time.

    Impact Team Member (Current Employee)
    Aventura, FL

ProsFlexibility, friendly employees and managers, easy to be hired

Conslow pay, monotonous work, very low hours

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to get every person one regular shift a week if at all possible

    Loud and Immature

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsA great place to work if you just like to socialize, get a discount, and listen to loud music.

ConsThe music was too loud all the time. Also the managers fraternized with the employees and people we always just goofing around. No one took their job seriously and I was ridiculed for trying to do so.

    Good First Job

    Model (Current Employee)
    Cleveland, OH

Proswork with people around your age, cool managers.

Conslow pay with no raises, no hours, discriminatory of looks, struggling company

Advice to Senior ManagementThe ladder works downward however not back up. We are constantly hearing from corporate and management but they never hear from us.
