I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch

    Pros

Young, fun atmosphere. Teens in first job can be fun to work with.

    Cons

Pay is not worth the crazy hours and overtime you'll have to work. Tuesday morning management meetings are mandatory even if it's your day off. Deal with rude customers and shoplifters on a daily basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Compensate your management fairly - get rid of supplemental pay and do the right thing paying over time. If overtime is mandatory (which is not in writing but necessary if you want to keep your job) it should be paid.

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch

    Pros

Learning how to work extremely hard

    Cons

    Very, very, VERY little pay
    The customers are awful.
    The customers are really awful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Drop the look policy BS. It makes us seem shallow. We do not enjoy representing shallowness.
Drop the bachelors degree requirement. Let the part-time associates who excel and have the competence move up to a certain level.
    Quit wasting our lives.
Quit screwing up at corporate and making us have to clean up the messes. Pay your retail employees like they are humans, not oxen. You will never get the management coverage needed in the Houston area with the direction the company is falling and at the rate that we are currently paid. Nobody is going to want to work at a place that nobody has anything good to say about it, unless desperate. That said, hiring desperate graduates will not help with turnover. Give us something good to say about our jobs, something to be proud of.
