I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The hours they give you are bearable, the employees are fun. Most managers are chill and easy to get along with. Coworkers are attractive and fun. Short hours for models, very flexible schedule. Easy to get shifts covered.

    Cons

The pay is not that great, mininum wage. I don't understand why we are so underpaid if we make $1000+ on a slow day. Some of my managers are incompetent and I have to correct them when they have worked here for months.
The discount only works on certain items. Not enough hours if this is your main job,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Id advise that you guys pay your employees better for all the hard work they do. Or at least give raises to those who deserve it,

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    No experience required.
Easy interview. Start off with many hours (23 in the first week for me)
    Easy for model
Moderate difficulty for impact as you will have to work model as well as complete impact tasks.

    Cons

Minimum wage regardless of experience. Managers play favorite. I didn't feel welcome. If a manager has a problem they tend to gossip as if they are still in high school. I am stressed when I have to work for them. They will call you at 10PM asking you to come in for an hour on a school night, if you deny their request you get a significant lower amount of hours. I average 6.5 hours biweekly. They hire based on education, physical appearance and social skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your act together, act professional and understand not everybody has a college degree. Quit playing favorites.

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time

    Pros

    Decent salary, good looking campus

    Cons

Lack of leadership and accountability at all levels. Senior management horribly out of touch. They perpetuate this by hiring good looking clones and dressing them in uniforms, living in a make believe world convincing each other how good they are and how everything will be OK. No wonder business slips away each day and they are last ones to wake up to trends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have courage to seek and face honest customer feedback. Encourage employees to speak their mind versus guessing which way the wind is blowing today. Hire diverse, real, talented people not "good looking" clones. Instill accountability in dept. heads, get rid of entire old guard....

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Easy entry level management position with no experience commensurate with a B.A

    Cons

Shallow culture and uncomfortable working conditions. Blaring loud music over and over all day while on your feet in sandals

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reach out to MIT's more often and ensure District Manager is not abusing their power or not following procedures with lower level management
