It wasn't a very good experience.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Accenture

ProsFlexible working hours but worst job for a fresher as you don't get relevent work experience working there

ConsNo respect for individuals and especially for freshers they treat you like you are nothing. Worst work ex. You will not learn anything. It's better to staet your career with a start-up company than accenture.

Advice to Senior ManagementAccenture Hyderabad is horrible. The management is typically hypocritical about almost everything. Please be professional

Does not practice what they preach in training. will not give you the opportunity to advance or move ahead.

Banking (Former Employee)
Charlotte, NC

I worked at Accenture full-time for less than a year

ProsAccenture has some great ideas about employment and benefits for employees

ConsAccenture hires managers with poor work ethics. Most of their employees in upper level positions will give you information that is not correct. They also in training just give you a piece of paper to look upon while they read it to you. No real working knowledge of their own position and most of the time have to direct your questions to someone else while they expect you to know your job. Accenture makes promises they cannot and do not intend on keeping when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagers need to be sure the information they give to employees is accurate and correct. Most managers there are not trained well enough on their own position to be giving company information and direction to other employees. Managers and team leads also need to be adhering to the processes taught in the company as well and treat their team with respect and not just a bunch of cattle to herd around.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Dwindling Expecations Delivered

Software Engineering Team Lead (Current Employee)
Chicago, IL

I have been working at Accenture full-time for more than 5 years

ProsBrilliant People, Great Place to Start, Ability to Work From Home, Impressive Amount of Methodology and Learning Capital For Those Wishing to Get Their Feet Wet

ConsLack of Growth Opportunities, Lack of Recognition, Continued Overworking of Employees for Menial Pay, Top Heavy, Little Creative Direction, Reliance on Expensive Contractors With Little Intent to Grow Local Body

Advice to Senior ManagementYou habitually exhaust and burn out some top resources and that will only lead you to a brain drain and a reduced creative impact in the market.

Layoff prone

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Charlotte, NC

I have been working at Accenture full-time for more than a year

ProsHealth Benefits are good. The people that work in ACS are what makes working for Accenture a tad bit enjoyable.

ConsWhere do I begin....ACS has a lot of great, smart people. The issue is that it seems as if Accenture does not care. They layoff employees that have been working there for YEARS and tell them that there are no positions available but then turn around and hire NEW people outside of Accenture that do not have an ounce of experience in the particular field that they are hiring for. At the same time that they are doing the layoffs, you can find positions on job boards saying that they are hiring. It doesn't make any sense to me how you can tell current employees that are about to be laid off that there are no open positions available but advertise that you are hiring on job boards. Why not redeploy current employees to other positions that are knowledgeable of processes instead of hiring new employees that require more training? Yes they do redeploy SOME folks but why not redeploy most workers instead of having multiple incoming training classes full of Non Accenture people? Working here you are not able to plan anything because you are living day to day wondering if you will have a job or not. That is no way to live and what makes working at Accenture so stressful. People have mortgages to pay for, car notes, etc.

Advice to Senior ManagementInstead of laying off loyal Accenture workers, work harder to redeploy as many of them as you can instead of hiring outside of the company and paying to train new people! If layoffs must occur, inform your employees when you are FIRST aware that you do not have any positions instead of waiting and keeping them in the dark. More communication is needed. Make it where if a contract ends with particular vendors, employees are still secure in their positions.

ProsPeople are wonderful despite the leadership challenges

ConsLeadership is not concerned with what the preach is the greatest asset of the company....PEOPLE. Leadership does not model the vision they communicate which has led to many very talented individuals leaving.
