Dynamic group of people, skills and backgrounds are diverse, large global consultancy.

    Cons

Travel is an absolute requirement, expect no less than full-time travel.
Business very focused on outsourcing at the moment rather than consulting.

    Pros

    Cons

Compensation not Competitive especially for home grown resources
    Hours can be gruesome

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know that Accenture wants to attract good talent by over-compensating Experienced Hires, but maybe you should think about compensating your home grown talent fairly in order to keep them in the first place.

    I worked at Accenture

    Pros

Offers challenging and interesting work opportunities with major corporations globally. Very good if you have less than 6 years experience. Accenture does not do well at utilizing more experienced joiners. There is a decent opportunity for training but project schedules can limit these opportunities.

    Cons

Essentially a sales culture, project management and innovation are valued but sales drives promotions. There is a 2-3 year cycle of operating model churn as the company attempts to respond to the market. This churn can derail career progression if your alignment in the organization changes.

Poor managers with no insight of what is happening internally in their team.
Difficult to focus on industry and self growth/expertise.
Also v.limited opportunities to switch within the organization to a different role.
    Experienced employees are not valued.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Concentrate on Performance management, since it has serious flaws. I know a lot of my co-workers switching to other organizations since it makes them unhappy.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with at the analyst and consultant level. Great experience in a lot of different roles. Great training opportunities. Great "brand" to have on your resume. Opportunity to get involved in any type of extra-curricular you want. Defined paths to promotion. Great benefits.

    Cons

No work/life balance. Unrealistic expectations from leaders who have married the company and prefer not to have lives outside of work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend time developing analysts and consultants - getting to know them as people - it will keep them more satisfied and inclined to stay long term. Staff projects appropriately, don't break the backs of 24-29 yr olds.
