I have been working at Accenture full-time

    Pros

The coworkers you have on the ground level with you make Accenture stand out as a top performer. Accenture hires ambitious, professional, and capable people of all levels - most of whom are as enjoyable to be around outside of the office as well as during the working day.

    Cons

Mentorship is hit or miss, and highly dependent on one's supervisor. While there is corporate structure for career counseling, often times the career counselor is not as involved with the employee's day-to-day contributions, and usually cannot attest to the grade of performance that employee provides. Most visible to one's accomplishments is the supervisor, and whether or not you have a supervisor with a mentorship mentality is highly variable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time training managers and consultants in leadership positions to be leaders to their team, not necessarily just bosses. The ability to grow is often times limited to what your supervisor or lead can allocate to you, and there is nothing in place for a 360 degree review. Perhaps considering this as an institutional change across the enterprise would be useful for the employee base.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Offers good salary to people who are coming from other companies.
    Process Oriented
Opportunities to learn and grow for freshers.
    Lots of projects.
    Chances to go abroad.

    Cons

Too much of process orientation. Leadership sometimes focus too much on the processes than the product. Because of which, end product is just somehow "acceptable". It puts a lot of pressure on the employee to complete the product within timelines resulting stress and frustration. Senior Management is partial and does favor to their beloved people, offering better opportunities and promotions to less deserved people.
Promotion depends on budget of the project, not on how much hard work you have done!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

HR should be a friend to an employee with whom he/she can discuss his/her issues and complain about things which are not right. HR should not act like a strict and wicked school teacher who always try to show a dominance by telling the rules. Sometimes they make some rules for a particular situation to avoid getting into a situation where employee needs help.
