Reckless placements leading to dissatisfied clients and candidates

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe only pro i can see is the online education piece they off there candidates.

ConsPoor communication, tries to force the placement and ends up with candidates who arrive on a job only to be dismissed because the placement was rushed and the client did not get a true picture of the candidate's true skill level.

Worst of the Worst Placement Agency!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsNone, even if I think very hard.

ConsThey post jobs that are non existent, then they tell lies that jobs are filled in just one day after they are posted!

If they call me about an opening and leave me a message, I have always called back in 10 mins or less only to reach a voicemail and they never answer or return my calls or emails. NEVER! This is not just one particular employee at RHI in San Antonio, but all of them are of the same kind.

This is just one big bogus company that is of NO USE to job seekers. Avoid them!

Advice to Senior ManagementOne LIne: Be responsive to your clients.

    Very Unprofessional

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Seattle, WA

ProsThey got connections to get you in a job if you go along with them.

ConsVery long wait to get my first assignment despite of testing and four intakes at different times with other 3 recruiters and team interview. After four months of wait and after constantly checking in and inquiring, I was just one body to fill a position they needed urgently as their other temp wanted out. Within my first week, I communicated that I didn't feel the employer was a good fit for my life and work balance and performing the job without proper tools for unreasonable number of hours including weekends was draining me . When I shared my difficulties to my representative, she requested I stayed on till another body was found to replace me and then she would find me another work. However, after 1.5 months, I was taken off the assignment immediately without any advance notice and no other job was lined up as assured. After all my phone calls and emails were ignored, I gave a 2-star review on the survey Accountemps sent me. Later, after taking this matter above, I was contacted by my representative, who said that she was offended by my bad review and that she assumed I was not interested in Accountemps helping me find another job. I let her know that I was still interested despite of my review that reflected my real experience and nothing personal against her. Since then, Accountemps seem to blacklist me and that I say is very unprofessional!!

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't send surveys to candidates if you don't want to fix your own weak system and only want to hear sugar-coated ratings. Sorry! my ethics don't allow me to misrepresent what I observed personally and that defines my reality.

    Treated Horribly

    Medical Biller (Current Employee)
    Sterling Heights, MI

ProsOnly pro that I could say was they were quick in placing me. Other wise I can not say anything good about my experience.

ConsI was placed in a job that when I got to the office, turned out to be in a very small room with folding tables and 6 other people all of whom were very chatty. All of the work was done on very small 10" lap tops. I could not concentrate or focus on the job that needed to be done with all of this. I called Account Temps and told them of the situation. The first woman I talked to was sympathetic and said they had a lot of other assignments they could send me on, but she never called me back. I waited a week and called them back to see if there were any jobs open. I was told by another person that I accepted the assignment and that they spent money on me doing a background check, and they didn't do business like that and did not want to have any thing more to do with me.

Advice to Senior ManagementI do not know if this is the way you treat your employees, I am new to the temp service area. I have over 20 years with the same company and consider myself a good employee and hard worker. I have to say if this is truly your policy and the way you treat people I am not sure how you have stayed in business.

    Avoid!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsNone. I do not have anything good to say about this company. You can find work quick but not any worth having a degree for.

ConsThey find you work quickly but give you a very misleading job description to what you will actually be doing. They use you to make a pretty penny. Do not recommend.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmployees are clients too so treat them like it.

    Good company

    Various Titles (Former Employee)

ProsRecruiters are nice if you just stick to your posting as one more dot on their board.

ConsA damaging company to work for if you hold a degree. They will never evaluate your qualifications or even re-assign you to a different much suited position. You are a dot on their board and must not be moved irrespective of your qualification.

Advice to Senior ManagementChange your operational norms and stop destroying people career with misleading job description that does not match actual job at client facility. Indianapolis NW branch is notorious for this my Jzzz. Run if you get an offer or you'll say I told ya so.....

Staffing Machine, Employees Do Not Care About You If You Are On a Temporary Basis

    Senior Accountant--Salaried Professional (Former Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsSomehow the company has a good reputation which carries over to the place you are sent.

ConsPoor communication, I would rate zero stars if possible.
    Poor salary.

Will never recommend this company to anyone

    Accountant (Former Employee)
    Houston, TX

ProsThe only pro is that they will call you for jobs ONLY IF you carry yourself well, make a great first impression, and kiss ass to the recruiters. If you don't do these things, they usually will not call you for jobs even if you have years of experience. It is their choice to "present" you to companies so they tend to call back their "favorite" candidates only.

ConsAccountemps could be an amazing company if they would have better, educated people working for them. They are extremely unorganized and unprofessional. I've had better customer service and have been treated better at Taco Bell. I called several days in a row to reach my recruiter and even when I called back literally 2 minutes after I missed their call, the receptionist would still say they were out of the office multiple days in a row. I am 100% sure the extremely unprofessional receptionist hung up on me because I could hear the clank of the corded phone slam down on the machine. Accountemps is like a group of teenagers who only got their diploma and decided to work because their parents were gonna cut them off. During the interview, the recruiter actually laughed at me for going to a certain university and when I asked them where they went, they replied "oh.. well i went to university of phoenix.........." What? That's so unprofessional and downright rude.

I was able to see the invoices from Accountemps and saw that the company I was working for paid $33 an hour for me to work, but only paid me $18/hr. When trying to negotiate pay, they laughed at my request and did not budge at all, stating "it just can't happen." They do not work with you. They don't try to help you. They do not genuinely care. I've seen toddlers who care more about people than the people at Accountemps. I would rather deal with any one at Walmart, than people at Accountemps.

I did get hired on full time at the company I was assigned to. Even the company I got hired on at had a bad experience with Accountemps and said they would never use them again because of how unprofessional they are.

I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ACCOUNTEMPS. In fact, I will make sure that any one in my network and network's network know that Accountemps should never be a option even in desperate times.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere's no use in telling upper management that the people that work for you, truly are horrendous human beings.
