It was great experience while it lasted. It's a shame the hard times the company has encountered.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsIt is a good working environment and great people. The management is not in touch with the challenges that the rank and file faces on day to day basis.

ConsManagement is out of touch and our desperate to save the company. They drive the workers really hard and take credit for their underlings work.

    A Company In Transition

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Chicago, IL

Pros1) Tremendous people - the team represents a unique blend of career healthcare professionals, career consultants from other industries and process excellence from other industries
    2) Tremendous IP - some of its greatest assets may be hidden from view
    3) Great customers - never met a customer who wasn't excited about the innovation we were jointly driving

Cons1) Some of its greatest assets aren't being leveraged in front of all customers
    2) Management is straining to make substantial changes on many fronts

Advice to Senior ManagementTake care of your people.

Culture Change to Servant Leadership is a good thing

    Corporate (Current Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsChange in culture over the past few months has been great - now focused on what we should be, patients and clients instead of the arrogance and big egos that used to be here. Much more respectful and humble. The changes are positive and Steve is a great leader - open and honest

Conslegacy issues that we are still dealing with

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep doing what you're doing - it's making a difference

    Business Intelligence Lead (Current Employee)

ProsIt is still a new and growing department. The work is challenging, but you are constantly learning something new and gaining a variety of experience.

ConsOther departments are not as organized and can be frustrating.

Advice to Senior ManagementHaving a better plan/idea of department goals and procedures would be helpful.

    Great Experience

    Senior Operations Lead (Former Employee)

ProsLots of opportunity for intelligent people to accept a lot of responsibility quickly. Learned a ton about revenue cycle and got some excellent leadership projects.

ConsHard work with lots of politics and leadership does not appreciate/reward the employee for their work

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on your employees, when you start taking advantage of them the deliverable depreciates rapidly.

This is a fast paced company where you will never run out of things to do.

    Operations Lead (Former Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsThe company offers a fair salary for the amount of work that you are asked to complete on a weekly basis. There are weekly meetings so that you can establish what tasks should be prioritized. The company has multiple team building outings that are very nice and serve as a good way to build team dynamics across departments so you can interact face to face with other managers you normally only communicate with through email.

ConsDo not expect much company training on what you do on a daily basis, or how to do it when you first arrive here. This is an environment where you have to go out and learn everything for yourself and you have limited time to learn from other managers who are on a strict time table to accomplish there tasks. There is a high level of ambiguity at this position since you will constantly be moving between task to meet the varying demands of multiple clients on a basis of who is the loudest whistle blower. Expect to work at home on projects during the week, and around 1-2 times a month you will need to complete work over the weekend.

Entrepreneurial and responsible candidates will excel, others will fail

    Operations Lead (Current Employee)

ProsFlexibility, Stability in location vs. traditional consultancy role, Advancement

ConsFirst administration had some very bad management strategies and policies or lack of and office politics were bad, things are starting to clean up some.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue with the gutting of the old regime who were in over their head all the way down to employees who can't adjust to new policies.

A great learning experience for employing health information systems in clinical best practices and care compliance.

    Physician Advisor (Former Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsWas able to work with a strong team of medical professionals, including physicians and case managers, and technical support personnel to provide real value to our client hospitals. This was a collegial and supportive work environment that was committed to providing (please excuse the well-worn phrase) "excellent service".

ConsChanging forces in national health care policy lead to uncertainty about the company's future direction, due to need to revise its business model and diversify its offerings and its client base.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe individual support was well appreciated; and would recommend continuing the team lead roles. Would advise management to maintain efforts to keep staff informed during the difficult transition.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
